Our answers to common medical home care questions

1. Is Medicaid funding available for your services?
Yes. We accept Medicaid insurance from eligible recipients. We are happy to provide more detail once we learn of your specific situation. You can also visit http://www.cms.hhs.gov/ to find out more about your benefits with Medicaid.

2. I have insurance and I’m not sure if it covers non-medical home care and/or home health care services, will ANCS verify coverage prior to starting service?
We accept all forms of medical insurance for qualified recipients and we are happy to check your coverage and work with you to determine what coverage you have for our services.

3. What different services do you offer? ANCS offers a full range of medical and non-medical home care services. Please view a list of our full services here.

4.What age-range do you serve?
We provide quality private duty nursing care services for all age ranges from pediatric care to elderly care.

5. Can you provide short-term care?
Yes. We will work with you to create a plan of care specific to your individual needs.

6. Can you care for someone in a facility (hospital, nursing home, or assisted living)?
Yes, we are happy to provide quality care, wherever your loved one may be  living.

7. Can we continue your home health care services if a family member needs to be put in a care facility while receiving your services?
Yes, we will work with you and the facility to continue providing the services you request.

8. Do I have to sign a contract locking me into services?
No, as your needs change, so will the services you receive. Our service agreement is drafted to meet with our clients changing needs.

9. How often do I get billed for services?
Billing is done on a monthly basis, but in most cases insurance or medicad will pay for services.

10. Is there any additional cost to me?
No. Every agreement is clear and transparent; there are no hidden fees.

11. Do you accept checks or credit card payments?
Yes.

12. What if I need to speak to someone in the office after business hours?
ANCS’s office staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

13. How long will it take to get a caregiver?
Based on your needs and requests, we can provide a caregiver immediately or at your convenience.

14. Can I help choose the caregiver and/or meet them in advance?
Yes. If requested, ANCS will arrange a meeting with a preselected caregiver. If at any time or for any reason you want to change caregivers, we will do so at no charge until you are completely satisfied.

15. What happens if a caregiver is unable to show up for a scheduled shift? If your family’s caregiver is unavailable for any reason, another is made immediately available.

16. How do you select my caregiver?
All of our caregivers have successfully passed a thorough reference and national criminal background check and are bonded and insured. We match your specific needs and requests to the skills and background of each caregiver to find the ideal companion.
